About Me

Hey, I’m LeAnn.

I’m a longtime television journalist turned digital editor who still thrives on tight deadlines, asking smart questions, and becoming a mini-expert in whatever topic the day throws my way. These days, I focus on shaping news for mobile platforms—writing, editing, and producing content that’s accurate, engaging, and never boring. (Yes, even when it’s about crypto regulation or electric vehicles.)

How I Got Here

Reporting isn’t for the faint of heart. I’ve knocked on doors after tragedies and celebrated with families on the best days of their lives—all while asking them to share their stories on camera. Through that, I became resilient, empathetic, and really good at meeting people where they are. I pride myself on building trust quickly and turning complex topics into clear, human-centered stories.

What I’m Doing Now

I’ve traded live shots for laptops, but the heart of the work hasn’t changed. I still tell stories every day—just for a different kind of audience. Now I create editorial content for tech companies, develop mobile-first news products, and collaborate with product and design teams to help people stay informed (and occasionally entertained) from the palm of their hand.

I split my time between Austin and New York City, and when I’m not working, you’ll probably find me doing yoga, planning a trip, or testing out material at a local open mic night.

And Now…A Brief Video Summary.
