Sometimes I like to drive around with my gas light on just for the thrill of it.

Okay, usually it’s because I don’t give myself enough time to stop for gasoline.
But…there really is something enticing about testing just how far your car will go.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not completely irresponsible. I mean, I do the math in my head. 3 miles here, another 2 miles there. There should be at least 5 miles worth of gas in the tank still, right?
Not to draw a direct parallel between gas lights and real life, but …
How often do we do that? Just cruise along on fumes? Hoping we have what we need to get to where we’re going?
I usually try to fill up with gas sooner rather than later. Mostly because the “ding” of my gas light coming on is annoying…and I hate having to be that damsel in distress, waiting on AAA to come save me.
Funny how often inconviences can be avoided in our lives if we just pay attention.
I love this. Story of my life.
